Choose how you would like your freeze-dried breast milk packaged: individual Single-Feed pouches, larger Multi-Feed pouches or a combination of both.
With the Nourishy Single-Feed service, each bag of frozen milk becomes its own pouch of powder. Your bags are freeze-dried individually and indicate the date frozen.
With the Nourishy Multi-Feed service, approximately 1.4 kg of frozen milk becomes one large pouch of powder. Each pouch can be used for up to one month after opening.
With the Nourishy Combo service, half of your milk is packaged into Multi-Feed pouches and the other half into Single-Feed pouches, giving you the flexibility of both packaging options.
Each pouch is labeled with your custom notes. This includes date frozen, diet, medications, AM/PM, etc.
Each pouch includes detailed instructions for making a bottle of the correct nutrient/water balance.
Freeze-drying extends the expiration of your breast milk by 3 years.
Simply add warm water or sprinkle on food for added nutrition anytime, anywhere!

Your milk is individually labelled, weighed and assigned a unique tracking ID when it arrives. Using our contact-free SafeDry® process, every bag remains physically separated throughout freeze-drying. Your milk never touches our equipment or another customer’s milk, and each order is handled and packaged separately.
Your prepaid overnight shipping kit uses specialised insulation designed to keep your milk frozen for considerably longer than the expected transit time; without dry ice. We monitor the shipment, and when it arrives, our team checks that your milk is frozen and undamaged before confirming receipt.
Processing generally takes approximately 10 working days from when we receive your milk, depending on the volume sent. Our Express service offers processing within one week. We’ll keep you updated when your milk arrives, enters processing and is shipped back to you.
Freeze-drying removes approximately 90% of the milk’s weight as water. For example, 150 ml of frozen breast milk typically becomes around 15 g of powder. Your personalised pouch label explains exactly how much water to add to return it to its original volume.
Unopened Nourishy pouches have a validated shelf life of up to three years from the freeze-drying date when stored in a cool, dry place. Once opened, use Single-Feed powder within three days and resealed Multi-Feed powder within 30 days.
Freeze-drying removes water while helping preserve the nutritional and bioactive properties of breast milk. Nourishy’s testing has found no significant reduction in key macronutrients, including protein, fat, carbohydrates and calories. You can explore the supporting evidence on our Freeze-Drying Research page.
These operational details align with Nourishy’s currently published process and FAQ information. Nourishy FAQs Research has also found that lyophilisation did not significantly change human milk’s bactericidal activity compared with frozen storage.
